Who We Are

BB Eskebra — Banco do Bairro (Bank of the Neighbourhood) — is a financial inclusion fintech platform founded with the mission of bringing worthy financial services to 20 million unbanked adults in Angola, Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau. We were born from the conviction that financial technology can and must serve those who need it most — the people who live and work in the neighbourhoods.

Our Mission

To democratise access to financial services in Lusophone Africa, building a platform that respects and digitises local financial traditions — such as kixikila and xitique — while offering modern tools for savings, credit, payments and international remittances at fair costs.

Leadership and Expertise

The BB Eskebra founding team combines experience in fintech, institutional banking and government advisory. Our founder and Editor-in-Chief is a graduate of Imperial College London (MBA), based in Switzerland with deep experience in emerging African markets, government advisory and investment banking. The editorial team includes analysts with experience in African financial markets, PALOP banking regulation and financial inclusion technology.
